My Son The Truck Driver

My second oldest son Alaric got out of the Army a while back, where he spent time as a cook and various other duties they told him to do.  So okay what do you do for work with those credentials, you go and be a cook for a Casino Restaurant in Pennsylvania.  Well if that does not work out, you get used and abused, okay so you leave and get a job in Charleston, WV in a very large hospital, now you don't make enough money to cover your bills.  Now what do you do?  You go to school to drive Tractor Trailers.  Makes perfect sense to me, that is if you got to drive trucks around in the Army and you loved it.

Photo: This is what im driveing for the next 28 days.
This is the rig he has been training on.  His trainer is from South Africa.   He has 14 days down and 14 more left as long as all goes well and he is able to get all his hours.

He had to start his on the road training in Utah and he was able to make a stop in Pennsylvania where his sister Celeste and Ricky and Vicky were able to see him for a little while.

Vicky sure loves her Uncle Alaric.  Note the beard.
So far it seems to be something he likes.  I just hope he stays safe on the road when he is out by himself driving for all those long hours.
