Missionary Daughter

Our daughter Elizabeth chose to serve a mission for our church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.  She is serving an 18 month term in the Billings Montana mission.  The women serve only 18 months while the men serve 2 years.  You can also serve a mission with your spouse when you are older and all your children are grown, or if you are a older female who has no children or spouse.  There are many opportunities for service in our church.  We are proud our daughter has chosen to serve the Lord in this manner.

I don't know what event this was but I think it was some kind of missionary training going on that day.

The above view is the Missionary Training Center in Provo, Utah.  This is where all missionarys go to receive training before going out in the field.

Elizabeth, like her mother appreciates the beauty of nature and found some beautiful flowers to photograph and share.

  1. Susan! Elizabeth is so beautiful and all grown up! And guess what? We're in Montana! But not near Billings. I hope she loves her mission. And I hope she has some warm clothing. BRRRR!

    1. Martie,
Elizabeth fared well on her mission. She stayed warm, She sent in many requests for additional clothing while she was out. She did have a wonderful time. I understand you have one leaving for a mission this year also. That is nice to know.
