Kids Come Home

I was down to one child in the house for a year and a half while my daughter was on her mission to Montana.
Now that she is back my oldest son and his wife decided they are getting a divorce and he needed to be back at home for a while.

We have had an interesting month or so.  Last month Lizzie took over meal planning and cooking (I still had dishes) and she did pretty well with it too, although sometimes some of us left the table wanting more to eat.  This month it is Berek's turn and it is funny how the two of them go about the same task in different ways.  He is on the other end of the spectrum in regards to the amount of food that is prepared.  We usually have leftovers for lunch the next day (and I still have the dishes to do even though I am not cooking)  He has a shopping list to put together for the next week or so.  As you may have guessed my food bill has went up by 3 times what I normally spend.

On top of the help in the house we have more "muscle" to help with things outside and so does one of the families in our church.  My son is being lent out for work. I hope he is feeling useful and getting some good exercise working outdoors.

Plus Lizzie is also being a help by wanting to work with the horses, I usually don't do much with them because there is no one to be out with me, so it is a little weird but a good weird to have her help.

All in all I think things are going fine since the addition of the 2 older children back in the mix. I am enjoying them here.
