Thanksgiving Family Reunion
The time is approaching when we are to have a Clay Clan family reunion and this one is going to be on Thanksgiving 2012. This will be a most important occasion, because all of our children and grandchildren will be in attendance. It will be held in Pennsylvania at the eldest child's home. I get to make the stuffing, a couple of pecan pies, maybe a cheesecake, and some fruit salads to take. There are some that are traveling from a long ways away and will not be able to bring food. But being able to see everyone and how they have grown and matured will be wonderful. There will be 5 cooks cooking this year. Thank goodness we don't all have to use the same kitchen.
Some thoughts for the family are that I hope we can make it a (good) memorable experience and everyone will be able to reacquaint themselves with one another and find things in each other that bring joy. Our focus should be on the future and the good memories we can make for the grandchildren and everyone alike.
I would like everyone to think of some things that they are thankful for and bring those thoughts with you to the table at Thanksgiving this year.
We have never had all seven of my children in one place at one time, so this is a historic occasion.
