Alice

Alice and Calvin Herren

This is my Aunt Alice.  She is the eldest daughter of Ruben and Lula Sheppard.  She was born in Georgia. She had 13 siblings, 2 of them died in infancy and one died in childhood. One died from a horrible accident and the rest from unfortunate diseases. She had This picture was taken when I was about 11 or 12.  She was always kind to all of us children.  She loved every one of us.  Everyone seemed to love her.  She was so easy to get along with.  I remember she always kept a large fish tank full of fish which I would sit in front of and watch.  We spent many Christmases and Thanksgivings at her home.  She was married six times and she outlived all of them with the exception of one, she divorced him. She died of bone cancer in 2003 in Hollister, Florida way too early in life.   She has one beautiful daughter named Bonnie and three granddaughters equally beautiful granddaughters, Jackie, Missy, and Donna and lots of great grandchildren. 
She is missed greatly by many.
